I’m Brittney Garcia-Dumas, and I am honored to run for Arlington City Council District 5.

Arlington is not just where I live — it is where I was raised and where my life began.

I was born and raised here. I had my first great teacher at Little Elementary, earned my first paycheck at The Parks, and spent summers in our community pools. Like many longtime residents, I have watched Arlington grow and change over the years. This city gave me the foundation to build a family, a business, and a life I am proud of. I am running to help ensure Arlington remains a strong and welcoming community for future generations.

I believe good local government starts with common sense and accountability. We must keep neighborhoods safe, manage taxpayer dollars responsibly, and maintain the city services residents depend on. Growth should be thoughtful and well-planned, protecting property values and preserving the character of our neighborhoods.

Arlington works best when decisions are made with transparency, fiscal discipline, and respect for the people who live and work here. I believe in listening to residents, planning carefully before spending, and making practical decisions that strengthen our community.

This campaign is about service, stewardship, and protecting the quality of life that makes Arlington a great place to call home.
